Tube Stations
Our two tube
stations are in Richmond and Kew
Gardens.
Richmond underground station is at the end of the
District Line and part of the mainline train station.
The tube will get you into Central London in about 45
minutes and there are good car parking facilities.
The station is also on the overland rail network and the
fast trains go direct to Waterloo in 20 minutes.
Kew
Gardens underground station is one stop along the line
from Richmond, heading towards London. It's about
a 5-10 minute walk to Kew Gardens itself, along leafy
suburban streets. There is very limited car
parking near the tube station.
Heathrow To Richmond
Heathrow Airport is about 14 miles from Richmond town
centre. There are no direct public transport links
between the two, although a cab/taxi will only take
about 30 minutes -but is likely to cost you 40 to 50
pounds.
You can get a bus from any of the Heathrow terminals
to Feltham station and then a direct train to Twickenham and
Richmond. Depending on how long you have to wait, you
should plan at least an hour.
Heathrow also has a tube station on the Piccadilly line
- you can either change at South Ealing station and
catch a 65 bus, or take the tube right into Hammersmith
and then change to the District Line to Richmond or Kew
Gardens.
