Richmond upon Thames has a pretty good choice of hotels, ranging from 'on a budget' to 'high luxury'. The majority are within striking distance of the centre of the town of Richmond and Richmond Park, and there are a few well positioned for Twickenham Stadium in (of course) Twickenham. Richmond is well connected by train and tube to central London hotels - approx 20 minutes.

It has a pretty great restaurant - the 'Gates on the Park' that's one of the best in Richmond.
