Dreamcatcher Media's film making summer camp starts on July 5th and runs weekly until September 3rd. Last year we had a full house and our students made a range of short films. Classes run from 9.00am - 2.00pm at The Cole Court Centre, London Road, Twickenham, near the station. See www.dreamcatchermedia.co.uk for more details.
Topics covered include:
Production planning
Story boarding

Set/props/special effects
Students shoot on digital video cameras and play each of the working roles on a short TV/film production. At the end of the 5 day course students will have produced a 5 minute film which they take away on dvd. For younger children we also run 2 day stop animation courses.
“Britain’s Got Talent” presenter Piers Morgan launched Dreamcatcher Media's Film and TV Camp and praised the company directors for their professionalism. Piers also thought the camp was a great way to encourage children's creativity. Speaking at the launch, Piers said 'There's a lot of raw talent out there. I see it all the time being a judge on both 'Britains Got Talent' and its American counterpart but you have to harness children's creativity if it's to grow. I think Dreamcatcher Media's Film and TV summer camp, where they give children cameras and teach them to make their own films is a fantastic way of doing that. I only wish that it was available when I was a kid'.
